RNR Mentorship Program
The youth in Tanzania face many challenges related to their economic and social integration into their societies. Over 75 % of the population in Tanzania is under the age of 35, and one third are between 24 and 30 years of age. These youth present a great, untapped potential for driving development and change in Tanzania.
RNR Business Solutions is delighted to have introduced this program for university graduates in Tanzania. This program is a platform created to raise and mentor the next generation leaders who will shape the future and change the world. The mentorship program is designed to partner graduates with RNR secretariat so as to learn on basic knowledge and skills needed for the job market but also empower them with a positive understanding of employment eco system. This program will bring in a cohort of diverse young university students based in Tanzania and will offer insight on young people’s lived experiences, leads meaningful youth engagement efforts, and demonstrates youth leadership across RNR’s work. The cohort consists of passionate and diligent individuals who serve as representative’s work alongside the CSR Manager and other members of the Secretariat at the RNR Business Solutions. Our goal is to provide a platform for training, mentorship and support for young leaders empowering them with the essentials they need to succeed, but also build one of the most dynamic networks of young people in Tanzania, employing tools of innovation for sustainable development impact
RNR’s mission is to invest in young women and men across the country to unleash their potential to become social innovators, leaders, thinkers and a powerful force for change in their communities, countries and the region at large. RNR equips youth with tools to develop their own unique and innovative solutions to address real-life challenges and further the 2030 Agenda and its 17 goals. More importantly, RNR encourages youths to be entrepreneur change-makers, capable of developing their ideas from plans to practice.
RNR Business Solutions provides training and capacity-building for youth through workshops, conferences, mentorship program and other activities.
To be successful in this program, we expect the members to demonstrate certain skills/behaviors which include:
- Timely and regular attendance at all monthly meetings, and any other calls for when required to.
- Flexibility in working with people from different cultures, contexts and gender.
- Proactivity in setting up calls with partnered members, following up when required, and informing about expected absence no later than 24 hours before the meeting
- Timely completion of all assigned tasks, and timely notification whenever help is needed
- Active and insightful participation in all meetings, calls, and activities with all team members of RNR.
- Regular communication on shared platforms such as email, Google Calendar, Slack, and WhatsApp
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions independently
What we offer.
We seek to meaningfully engage university graduates in our work by creating a space where young leaders can contribute to driving learning in Human Resources Management through a diverse Community of HRM experts. We offer a space where young people can lead meaningful youth engagement efforts, enhance their professional and technical skills, and championing safe employment programs. To this end, the cohort members will have the opportunity to:
- Collaborate with other candidates and the RNR Secretariat in an environment of shared learning
- Engage in co-mentorship with experienced members of RNR team
- Access information about courses, training programs, and other similar opportunities related to RNR
- Receive monthly training on a range of co-created topics
- Be a part of a creative and collaborative work environment full of passionate individuals who are dedicated to growing together!
